Managing the Fact Find
Accessing the Fact Find
Open the Fact Find by selecting the Edit Fact Find button at the top of the case, or via the Fact Find icon in the case toolbar.
Editing
The Fact Find opens in read-only mode. To make changes, press the pencil icon (Allow Editing) in the header bar. This acquires an edit lock so that only one person can make changes at a time.
Auto-Save
Changes save automatically as you work. If there are unsaved entries when you attempt to leave, the header bar will alert you before you navigate away.
Saving a PDF to the Suitability Pack
Press the PDF icon in the header bar to capture the current state of the Fact Find as a PDF. This is automatically placed in the Fact Find field within the Suitability Pack and can be deleted if required.
Accessing Case Information While in the Fact Find
Press the grid icon in the header bar to open the sidebar, which gives you access to case details, chat messages, and documents without leaving the Fact Find.
Inviting a Client to Collaborate
You can invite clients to view and complete their own details within the Fact Find. This creates a My Details document request in the client portal.
Press the people icon in the header bar and follow the instructions to send the invitation. The icon turns orange once collaboration is active.
Stopping Collaboration
Press the people icon again and select Stop Collaboration to remove the client’s access entirely, or press Lock Fact Find to allow them to view but not edit it. Press Unlock Fact Find to restore editing access.
Tracking Client Changes
Any fields amended by the client are highlighted with an orange box so you can review what they’ve changed at a glance.
What Clients Cannot See
The vulnerability section and any internal notes are never visible to clients, regardless of collaboration status.
